The Owl’s Nest

A little bird (or a very wise one) just told me about Owl’s Nest Retreat, a retreat for “women who use the arts to engage the community.” The Owl’s Nest is a weekend of creative workshops designed to foster community-building through the arts. This brilliant idea was hatched (oh, the puns!) by Lynn Hoare and Karen LaShelle, both of whom use theatre in a variety of community programs, including Theatre Action Project and Voices Against Violence, among others across the U.S. The retreat is scheduled February 11th – 13th at a Girl Scout camp outside of Austin. I know they still have a few spaces left, but if you can’t go this year, do put them on your creative radar.
