Up and Coming: East Austin Studio Tour

It’s that time of the year again, where holidays take over regular days, and the last few months of what already seems like the shortest year on record ceaselessly bound eternally forward, ensuring that you make that same promise you always make to yourself: to do more, see more, participate more, etc., etc., etc. (to use the ever-popular parlance from The King and I).

But not to dismay, I have the solution to all of these problems wrapped up in one neat and tidy package: the East Austin Studio Tour! Come do and see more, support local east-side artists, get some of that pesky holiday shopping scratched off that superbly long list you’ve been carrying around for quite some time, and participate in E.A.S.T’s ninth successful year. If you’re feeling especially giving this season, come by the Vortex on Manor Road at Cherrywood and check out Women and Their Work’s very own Marykathryn Briggs as she displays her own pearly black-and-whites during the studio tour.

The tour runs from November 13-21, 2010, with a plethora of locations from which to choose. For more information on studio locations and extra goodies along the way visit Big Medium’s website or head straight to E.A.S.T. Enjoy!
