On a lighter note…

Featherproof Books is a Chicago based indie publishing company. They offer mini-books you can download for free! Folding instructions are included. Author & ex-Austinite Margaret Chapman wrote: Dear Michael. As an eight year old she wrote a letter to Michael Jackson. I wrote letters to celebrities all the time when I was little–but not like this. Add: make a book and read it to your to-do list today!

I feel devastated in the weirdest way:

“I grieve for him; but I also grieve for the culture that created and destroyed him. That culture is ours’ and it is a lethal and brutal one..”
In light of the passing of Michael Jackson I wanted to pay due respect. I found Andrew Sullivan says it better than I could in his article in the daily dish.
He’s been the soundtrack of my life… Chuck D.

just look @ HER
Sometimes I go through a phase where I rent horror movie after horror movie until I scare myself silly. I have to stop when I find myself up at night thinking Freddy might be outside my window or under my bed. Corkey Sinks works within the horror genre while looking at technology & wild fire spread of media in her show Mardröm at Mass Gallery. Hurry, hurry the show runs through Saturday, June 27th. Don’t miss this show!
Hallelujah, it’s raining blood!
