Donna Huanca: Secret Museum of Mankind
January 17, 2008
Thanks to everybody who came out to our opening reception for Donna Huanca’s new exhibit, Secret Museum of Mankind!
Donna completely transformed our space with found-fabric installations, lasers and golden eggs, magic crystals, animal bones, hieroglyphics and other mysterious offerings.
Setting up:

The reception featured a ritual performance complete with wandering spirit animal, incense, a fog machine, and drumming by members of Indian Jewelry.

These guys were hanging tough.

Fancy chandelier.

Magic flora, powerful circle.

Donna and her altar.

Spirit hugger.

Dear W&TW Ladies,
Looks like a great show! I can’t believe I missed an opening night that involved “a ritual performance complete with wandering spirit animal”… and it really does look like she magically turned the space into something completely different! (and by she, I’m sure it means a lot of Ya’ll working on it too, those setting up shots look intense)
Thanks for the update gals!
Most Sincerely,
Your Favorite Wall Painter,
Anniey
