Stitch wants you to apply
Dear Art Maker,
We love the work you do and are thrilled to formally invite you to apply to participate in our fourth annual fashion show and craft fair, Stitch: A Handmade Revolution, taking place in Austin on November 10, 2007. We are seeking talented, creative people like yourself to have a booth at the craft fair and even show items in the runway fashion show - it’s up to you at what capacity you would like to participate!
STITCH ORGANIZERS & MISSION
Stitch is produced by four small crafty business owners and members of the Austin Craft Mafia: Jennifer Perkins of Naughty Secretary Club, Karly Hand of Identity Crisis Clothing, Tina Sparkles of Sparkle Craft and Jesse Kelly-Landes of Amet and Sasha. This event is an homage to independent designers, crafters and artists alike. We’re bringing this vibrant group together to create a community-directed, rather than competition-oriented atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to share their work.

PERKS & PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
As mentioned, we want to grow the sphere of small independent businesses by offering an opportunity for participants to connect and build relationships with other designers, crafters and members of the independent business community. As a result, this will be a wonderful marketing opportunity for participants and attendees alike. Swag bags filled with marketing material from vendors and designers will be handed out to the first 500 guests to arrive. Vendors from all over the country are being formally invited to display their wares both on the runway and in craft booths. Storeowners from around the country are being invited to the event. We also offer tremendous sponsorship opportunities. It’s a great way to advertise your work if you’re not able to make it to Austin for the event! For more information on sponsorships please contact Jennifer at sponsorships@stitchaustin.com
